The January transfer window may be over, but attentions have already turned to the summer when it comes to many clubs in the Premier League, including Tottenham.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men have not signed a player this season, but have been linked with a number of different players as potential targets for the summer.
And below, we take a look at the latest rumours surrounding Spurs and possible transfers this summer.
Roma hatch plan to try and keep Under
Recent reports suggest that Tottenham are battling with north London rivals Arsenal to try and sign AS Roma winger Cengiz Under.
It has been reported that Spurs, Arsenal and Bayern Munich have all sent scouts to watch the 21-year-old in action, but it is being widely reported in Italy that Roma are not willing to entertain the idea of selling the young star.
Indeed, The Sun reports that Roma are ready to triple his wages in order to try and entice the Turkish international to stay, which could prove a barrier to Spurs’ hopes of signing him.
Spurs fear missing out on PSG star
Spurs fear they could miss out on PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot, with Liverpool and Barcelona now linked to a move for the 23-year-old.
The French star is out of contract at the end of the season, and Spurs were heavily linked with a cut-price move in January to replace Mousa Dembele after the Belgian left for China.
However, Rabiot’s father Michel died just days before the end of the month, and any business was put on hold as his mother Veronique also acts as his agent.
Rabiot has been told he has no future at PSG after refusing to sign a new contract, and Mauricio Pochettino is a “huge fan” of him, according to the Daily Star .
However, both Liverpool and Barcelona are now allegedly monitoring the situation, and Spurs fear they could miss out on a key target for the summer.
Lyon are assumed to be front runners for the 28-year-old, who is out of contract in the summer. However, reports in A Bola via Sport Witness suggest Spurs are still a serious contender for the Mexican.
A bargain in the summer window is likely to interest Spurs, who have now gone over a year without making a signing, amid suggestions that the new stadium being built is a serious drain on resources.
